Label a Room and a Wardrobe
Choose A4 or US Letter on the card. Print the three practice pages together and the key page separately. The PDF is available in A4 and US Letter from the download card. The full content of every page is described below, so you can judge whether it fits before you print.
What Is on Each Page?
Each page practises one skill. Page 1 is nouns, page 2 is verbs that go with clothes, and page 3 is the order of a day.
Page 1: Label a Room and a Wardrobe
Page 1 shows a bedroom with an open wardrobe. Twelve numbered arrows point at objects, and a word bank at the top lists the words. You write each word in Hangul in a cross-line box. The first three are dotted models to trace. The twelve words are 침대 (chimdae, bed), 책상 (chaeksang, desk), 의자 (uija, chair), 창문 (changmun, window), 옷장 (otjang, wardrobe), 거울 (geoul, mirror), 모자 (moja, hat), 셔츠 (syeocheu, shirt), 바지 (baji, trousers), 치마 (chima, skirt), 양말 (yangmal, socks) and 신발 (sinbal, shoes). Say 옷장 as [옫짱]. Hear the model for the first word below.
Page 2: Clothing Verbs
Korean uses a different verb for each place on the body. Page 2 has twelve sentences with a blank for the verb, and a rule box at the top. The key rule is this: 입다 (ipda) is for the body, 신다 (sinda) is for the feet, 쓰다 (sseuda) is for the head or the face, 끼다 (kkida) is for gloves, rings and other things that fit tightly, and 매다 (maeda) is for a tie. The opposite of putting on is 벗다 (beotda), to take off. A sample row asks 셔츠를 ___ and expects 입어요. Another asks 모자를 ___ and expects 써요. Hear two models below.
Page 3: Put a Daily Routine in Order
Page 3 gives ten routine cards in a mixed order: 일어나다 (to get up), 세수하다 (to wash your face), 이를 닦다 (to brush your teeth), 옷을 입다 (to put on clothes), 아침을 먹다 (to eat breakfast), 출근하다 (to go to work), 일하다 (to work), 저녁을 먹다 (to eat dinner), 샤워하다 (to shower) and 자다 (to sleep). You number the cards from 1 to 10 in the order of a normal day, then write the polite form of each verb, such as 일어나요 and 자요. A short writing task at the bottom asks for two sentences: 아침에 ___ and 저녁에 ___. Hear two models below.
The Answer Key
The key lists the twelve words for page 1, the verb for each sentence on page 2 with a one-line reason, such as the body part, and a model order and the polite forms for page 3. The writing task is a personal answer, so it is not in the key.
How Do I Use This Sheet?
Plan 30 to 40 minutes, or do one page a day. The topics are small, so three short sessions work well.
- Trace the three models, then write from memory. Checkpoint: you can write 침대, 책상 and 의자 without looking.
- Say each word aloud before you write it. Hearing the sound helps the spelling stick.
- Sort the clothes by body part. On page 2, sort the clothes into body, feet, head and hands before you choose each verb.
- Tell the routine as a story. After page 3, read your ten verbs aloud in order, as a short story of your day.
- Mark the key last. Check each page, then rewrite the wrong items.
Pair the sheet with the house vocabulary flashcards, the clothing flashcards and the daily routine flashcards, so you practise the same items on screen and by hand.
What Is the Answer Key For?
The key is a separate last page, so you can print it apart from the exercises. Use it after you finish a page, not while you work. When a verb on page 2 is wrong, ask where the clothing sits on the body and then rewrite the whole sentence, including the particle 를 or 을.
Print Settings
Print at 100 percent scale, in black and white, on A4 or US Letter, with 12 mm margins for hole punching. Turn off fit-to-page, since scaling shrinks the writing boxes. Print the key on its own sheet if you share the worksheet. A pencil is better than a pen for the first pass.
Mistakes to Watch For
- Using 입다 for shoes. Shoes and socks take 신다: 신발을 신어요, not 신발을 입어요.
- Using 입다 for a hat or glasses. Hats, glasses and masks take 쓰다: 모자를 써요, 안경을 써요.
- Mixing time words. 아침 is morning, 점심 is noon or lunch and 저녁 is evening or dinner. Do not put 저녁 before 아침 in the routine.
- Dropping the particle on the sheet. 옷 입어요 is common in casual speech, but the exercises practise the full form, so write 옷을 입어요.
- Using 벗다 for everything you take off. 벗다 covers clothes, shoes, hats and glasses: 옷을 벗어요, 신발을 벗어요. A ring or gloves usually come off with 빼다, and a tie with 풀다.
The verb choice on page 2 is the hardest part. The key sorts every item by body part, so that one rule explains all twelve answers.
What This Worksheet Does Not Cover
The sheet has twelve nouns and ten routine verbs. It does not cover furniture beyond the bedroom, cooking, shopping or time telling. Learn these in the daily life vocabulary lessons. The ongoing form of the clothing verbs, as in 입고 있어요, is on the wearing verbs page. The sheet is hand practice, so it does not teach how to say the words aloud.
What Should I Practice Next?
After the sheet, drill the same items with the clothing flashcards and read more about the room and the wardrobe in the home vocabulary and clothing vocabulary lessons. Find other sheets in the Korean vocabulary worksheets collection. The Korean food vocabulary worksheet is a good next sheet.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Is on the Daily Life Vocabulary Worksheet?
Three practice pages and an answer key. Page 1 labels twelve objects in a bedroom and wardrobe, page 2 fills in the verbs 입다, 신다, 쓰다 and others for clothes, and page 3 puts ten routine verbs in order. Each page has a rule box and a solved example.
Which Level Is the Worksheet?
It is level A1. You should be able to read Hangul and know a few dozen common words. Each page opens with a short rule and a worked example, then asks you to apply it. If a word is new, read the daily life lessons first.
How Long Does It Take?
Plan 30 to 40 minutes for all three pages. A page takes ten to fifteen minutes, plus a few minutes to check it against the answer key and say the words aloud. Doing one page a day also works well.
Is There an Answer Key?
Yes. The answer key is a separate last page. It lists the answer to every item with a one-line reason. Keep it face down until you finish a page, because checking while you work removes the recall practice.
Is Audio Linked?
The printed PDF has no audio. This page has play buttons for the model answers. The flashcard decks have a clip for every card.
Is the Worksheet Free to Print?
Yes. It is free for personal and classroom use, with no sign-up or email. Print it on A4 or US Letter at 100 percent scale. Please link to this page instead of re-hosting the PDF, so that readers always get the latest corrected version.
Free for personal and classroom use. Teachers may print copies for their students. No reselling or republishing online.
